BAM! It’s Shot-o-clock! Vitamin Shot
Nikki Yas the VP of Marketing for my favorite health obsession Pure Encapsulations (you can get these through me!) had no idea what she was walking into as I ambushed her for a Vitamin and Juice Shot Competition at Organic Avenue last night. Camera work was done on my iPhone by the night shift employee whom I suspect by his aggressive panning action may need to up his snapchat game.
Top 3 ways we are keeping you healthy, happy and not hungover this holiday season:
Take your vitamins! These super convenient little packets of multivitamins that are going to boost your immunity, help sleep/energy levels, regulate hormones, improve digestion and aid in detox. Also I went the extra mile and through numerous scientific studies using myself as a test subject (you’re welcome), if you take them before or while you are drinking, they seriously minimize a hangover. Plus nothing is sexier at a bar than throwing back a handful of vitamins, it’s totally trending.
Juice! Having all the holiday food, booze and stress causes your blood PH to become acidic = breeding ground for sickness. Add the weather and travel to that equation and you’ll need to seriously boost your alkalinity so you can stay on your A-game. The fastest way to do this is to throw back a horrible tasting green juice. The more it tastes like dirt the better, dark green leafy vegetables are the most alkaline and they pack a punch when balancing out your PH levels. Make sure you make the Yuck face Nikki has in the video while you drink it.
Breathe! Now that you don’t have looming work deadlines and everyone is basically on autopilot between Christmas and New Years, try that deep breathing thing I’m always pushing you about. Did you know your lungs actually extend to the bottom of your rib cage? #truestory. So next time you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, take a timeout, walk around and breathe into the very bottom of your lungs. The extra oxygen slows the heart rate and works on the Central Nervous System to tell your body to caaaaaaaaalm dowwwwwwwn.
